Today I received a mailing from AnthonySylvan, which stated 'built for life'.Although my 10 year old gunite pool was demolished in 2005, I still have bad memories of my experience with the company.

Although the pool's warranty stated the pool was guaranteed to hold water, my pool leaked from day 1. It was eventually determined that there was a crack in the wall behind the tile line. After much back and forth with the company, I was informed a team would be at my home to repair the problem. The night before they were scheduled, I received a call from the office saying that it had been decided the repair would not be done because the crack was due to 'wear and tear'.

I was furious. I had a lawyer contact the company via mail, but received no response. At that point, I could not afford to pursue litigation, so I elected to demolish the pool, since I was told the repair would cost 20K or more, with no guarantee that it would not reoccur.

I have told everyone I know who is thinking of putting in a pool to look elsewhere for a pool company.Once of the reasons AnthonySylvan was chosen was because of their warranty, which apparently doesn't hold water.....and apparently still upsets me...
